IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is a phone technology that allows a computer to detect voice and touch tones using a normal phone call. It will direct callers on how to proceed. But in reality they are purposely used by companies to save money. Often, you will experience that these IVRs only delay your conversation with the person you want to talk to.
